We will be doing sales at Schucks this Saturday June 27th and at Walmart July 4th. If you are able to do 1-2 hrs of sales on either date please contact me and let me know. We are flexible on times. Thanks so much for your support. Selling these candy bars is going to be a great help in maintaining a affordable program.

Dad and Lad Fishing Tournament

Remember that the Dad and Lad Fishing Tournament is this Saturday at Lakeview Park starting at 8:00am. There will be several prizes handed out. We will be serving hot dogs and chips after. Adults you will need to have a current fishing license. The fee is $5.00/scout, adults are fee.

Upcoming Events
May 18th-Join the Webelos for a walk around the Lakeview Trial with a Forestor. They will be meeting at 6:15pm
May 24th-We will be meeting at 10:15am in the Walmart parking lot (Near the Denny's area) to head over to the Jefferson Barrick Cemetery for the Service and Flag laying. Once we get to the Cemetery will be be directed by them as to were to park. ALL Boys need to make sure they have the FULL uniform on (if you are a new scout, please contact us to let us know you would like to attend and will we get you a uniform in time).
June 6th-Grizzlie Game (deadline for payment on this is May 20th), boys will parade around the field before the game starts and recieve a patch. $4 for lawn seat/person and $8 for box seat/person.

June 13th--Hike at Lone Elk in Fenton, Cub Scout T-shirt is ok. 9am meeting at Walmart parking lot. 10am Hike.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Summer Camps Deadline
The Summer Camps Deadline is approaching. Please make sure to you get your camp information in No Later then May 13th to Dawn (or your leader), or to the council office in Belleville by May 16th. Late fees will be added after this day. For more information or to download the forms please check out our website.
Calendar Reminders
May 9th--JOTT Hike, 9am Roger's Parking Lot- wear comfortable shoe and bring gloves as we will be picking up trash
May 16th--Graduation, 12pm at Konarcik Park-Tiger's bring Dessert/Bears and Wolves bring Side Dishes/Webelos supply drinks. There will be a Water Rocket Launch after so bring a 2 liter bottle to make a rocker or water rocket already made.
May 17th--Fired Up For Scouting at the Fire House-Noon-3pm, This is a day to tell your friends about, we will be signing up new scouts. Your child doesn't need to be there, they just need to let their friends know this is the perfect time for them to sign up so they can get in on all those exciting summer camps and activies.

If you have a family member out there that you will like to put the flag on please show up before 10:45am and retrive a flag from the committee to lay on that grave.

Could you give of your time
We are always looking for help with different events, but we are also looking for people like you to volunteer to be leader's or at least registered adults helpers. If you are able to help us next Fall for a few hours a month, please contact your den leaders or Dawn Riggins 939-0513. Don't worry about knowing what to do, we will give you all the resources you need to make it as easy as possible.

25th Group will leave at 8:30 am from Walmart Parking Lot for Springfield. We will site see and attend Pioneer Days. Check in to Abraham Lincoln Hotel after 3pm.
26th Anyone who wants to can meet at 8:30am at Walmart Parking Lot for Springfield were they will meet up with the rest of the group that went up on the 25th.
**If you are interested in walking in the parade you will need to rsvp to Dawn Riggins 939-0513 so she can get the right amount of patches. ALL Boys participating can wear pack t-shirt on the 25th, but MUST wear FULL uniform (buttoned up and tucked in) on the 26th.
May 1st-Science Center Sleepover, show up to the Science Center after 5pm. More details to follow.

April 4th-Day of Recollection at Camp Vandeventer 8:30am-3:30pm, we will be planting trees around the New Dinning Hall at 4pm for our Arbor Day Event. To register for the Day of Recollection please sign up on the council website (link on the blog) or register with your den leader, the fee is $11. You can also register that day.
April 6th-Don't forget this is the deadline for the Science Center Sleepover in the Planetarium on May 1st. This is a awesome event. We went last fall and had a blast!!

Lincoln Pilgrimage
When: April 24-26th
Where: Springfield IL
Option 1: Leave at 8:00am on Saturday April 25th.
These families will go to the Pioneer Days Activities and a Hike. These families will spent the night at a motel and go to the parade to the Lincoln Monument at 1pm on Sunday. Go home on Sunday. (Family will pay for all their expenses for room and food)
Option 2: Meet at 9:00am on Sunday April 26th.
These families will leave from the Walmart Parking lot at 9:30am. They will need to bring a "Sack Lunch". They will meet up with the Option 1 families for the parade.
We need an RSVP for Option 1 no later then Feb. 26th. Option 2 will need to RSVP by April 14th. Please RSVP to Dawn Riggins at 939-0513 or scout318@gmail.com
